This is a poem I wrote years and years (and years) ago.
It's not deep, there's no hidden meaning, it's just a poem about fireworks.
Also I apologise for the dreadful picture at the bottom!
The Fireworks Man
With an "Ooooh and an "Aaaahhh",
A fizz and a bang,
I'll dance through the night,
I'm the Fireworks Man!
I've got sparklers for fingers,
Catherine Wheel eyes,
And fiery hair,
To light up the skies.
Light me a bonfire,
Build me a blaze!
Light the blue touch paper,
And I'll dance for days!
I'll light up the skyline,
Fill the night up with sound,
'Cause no night is silent,
When I've come to town!
Be it the fourth of July
Or the fifth of November
You know I’ll be there,
For a night to remember!
But for this year it's over,
All the rockets are done.
The smokes all but cleared,
And I've finished my fun.
But there's no need to worry,
I'll come back with a bang!
Even bigger and louder,
'Cause I'm the Fireworks Man!
